Tourist resorts in Veneto:

Veneto is one of the most tourist Italian regions. For the tourist that loves mountains there's the Dolomiti's Range, famous all over the world for the typical pink colour that mountains take at sunset, and for its wonderful ski slopes. For who loves sea, there are many seaside resorts, as Jesolo , Sottomarina and Caorle Which offer beautiful sandy beach, hotels for everyone's reach and a lot of fun. The hot thermal baths in Abano are a proper paradise for who loves to relax with friends with every comfort. The East side of lake Garda is in Veneto. The lake district offers many sportive opportunities, wonderful landscapes, a mild climate and every day is the paradise of surfers . Another interesting destination is the "walled city" of Marostica, famous in all the world for the chess game with human pawns.

The amusement parks:

Veneto region is also visited for its fantastic and funny amusement parks too. The most important is Gardaland, situated near Verona and Garda lake. We recommend you to visit it on Summer, because you may be soaked by the water carousels and you can enjoy more. Only on summer two water parks are opened: Acqualandia, situated near Jesolo, and Padovaland located in Padova. Coloured chutes, swimming pools with artificial waves, games with rubber boats are the most funny attraction of these two parks, but don't forget...SWIMMING COSTUME!

The carnival of Venezia:

If you want to take a part in a famous carnival, you should go to Venezia's. Among the "calli" (typical Venezia's little streets near water sea channels) many people sing and play while the traditional Italian's masks march on parade. One of these is the "Bauta" that change the voice of who is wearing it because it has a particular and strange form. let's try! The most typical characters are: "Arlecchino, Colombina and Pulcinella". But you will see many others people wearing a lot of strange and originals carnival's costumes. For make a carnival's costume you may spend a total year.

One's favourite sports teams:

In Veneto there are a lot of famous sports team. Many of these play soccer or basketball. The most famous soccer teams are "Chievo Verona", "Verona" and "Vicenza". The most famous basketball teams are "Benetton", and "Schio Famila" (the last one is a female team). The most powerful Italy team, and may be of Europe too is "Benetton", where there are three of the most fit players of the entire world. They are Bulleri, Ednev and Barbyosa. The female basketball team of "Schio Famila" is from Vicenza. That basketball team on the last championship in 2002.
